The TRUE CHURCH of the LIVING CHRIST

John 20:19

King James Version

19 Then the same day at evening,

being the first day of the week,

when the doors were shut

where the disciples were assembled

for fear of the Jews,

came Jesus and stood in the midst,

and saith unto them,

Peace be unto you.

The world will offer you many churches.

But here's what make up a church of the Living Christ.

Jesus is in our midst.

Matthew 18:20 (KJV)

20 For where two or three

are gathered together in my name,

there am I in the midst of them.

We receive the Holy Spirit of God from Jesus.

John 20:21-22 (KJV)

21 Then said Jesus to them again,

Peace be unto you

as my Father hath sent me,

even so send I you.

22 And when he had said this,

he breathed on them,

and saith unto them,

Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

We believe Jesus is the Son of God.

John 20:29-31 (KJV)

29 Jesus saith unto him,

Thomas, because thou hast seen me,

thou hast believed:

blessed are they that have not seen,

and yet have believed.

30 And many other signs truly did Jesus

in the presence of his disciples,

which are not written in this book:

31 But these are written,

that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ,

the Son of God;

and that believing ye might have life

through his name.

Jesus is the head of our church.

Ephesians 5:23 (KJV)

23 For the husband is the head of the wife,

even as Christ is the head of the church:

and he is the saviour of the body.

We are all baptized by one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:13 (KJV)

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized

into one body,

whether we be Jews or Gentiles,

whether we be bond or free;

and have been all made to drink

into one Spirit.

All members genuinely care for each other.

1 Corinthians 12:25-26 (KJV)

25 That there should be no schism in the body;

but that the members

should have the same care one for another.

26 And whether one member suffer,

all the members suffer with it;

or one member be honoured,

all the members rejoice with it.

Self is sanctified for the master's use.

2 Timothy 2:20-22 (KJV)

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels

of gold and of silver,

but also of wood and of earth;

and some to honour,

and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these,

he shall be a vessel unto honour,

sanctified,

and meet for the master's use,

and prepared unto every good work.

22 Flee also youthful lusts:

but follow righteousness,

faith,

charity,

peace,

with them that call on the Lord

out of a pure heart.

All efforts are for worship of God alone.

Revelation 22:8-9 (KJV)

8 And I John saw these things,

and heard them.

And when I had heard and seen,

I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel

which shewed me these things.

9 Then saith he unto me,

See thou do it not:

for I am thy fellowservant

and of thy brethren the prophets,

and of them which keep the sayings of this book:

worship God.

All is for the glory of God.

Romans 11:36 (KJV)

36 For of him,

and through him,

and to him,

are all things:

to whom be glory for ever.

Amen.

True born agains have no need for grandiose structures.

We don't need the latest architectural styles.

We don't focus on doctrines.

Or rituals.

We only focus on Jesus -- the WORD of GOD.

That He is in our midst.

That we honor His sacrifice.

That we listen to the Holy Spirit's teachings each day.

That He rules ALL aspects of our life, and work.

That we have love for God, and others.

Mark 12:29-30 (KJV)

29 And Jesus answered him,

The first of all the commandments is,

Hear, O Israel;

The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God

with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul,

and with all thy mind,

and with all thy strength:

this is the first commandment.

Matthew 22:39-40 (KJV)

39 And the second is like unto it,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments

hang all the law and the prophets.

That we emulate the simplicity of Christ, and His gospel.

2 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV)

3 But I fear,

lest by any means,

as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty,

so your minds should be corrupted

from the simplicity that is in Christ.

We are all headed for a church that is like God's promised holy city, the new Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:22-27 (KJV)

22 And I saw no temple therein:

for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb

are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun,

neither of the moon,

to shine in it:

for the glory of God did lighten it,

and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved

shall walk in the light of it:

and the kings of the earth do bring their glory

and honour into it.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day:

for there shall be no night there.

26 And they shall bring the glory

and honour of the nations into it.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it

any thing that defileth,

neither whatsoever worketh abomination,

or maketh a lie

but they which are written

in the Lamb's book of life.

All we are doing now, is preparation.

Sanctification.

Justification.

Reconciliation.
