The LAMB of GOD as trespass OFFERING

Exodus 12:5

King James Version

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish,

 a male of the first year:

ye shall take it out from the sheep,

or from the goats:

In the days of Moses, a spotless lamb was used as "trespass offering", for the atonement of sins.

But man continued to sin, and to trespass.

In fulfillment of Scripture, Jesus, the  Son of God, was offered as the ultimate sacrifice.

Isaiah 53:5-7

King James Version

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,

he was bruised for our iniquities

the chastisement of our peace was upon him;

and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;

we have turned every one to his own way;

and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed,

and he was afflicted,

yet he opened not his mouth

he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,

and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,

so he openeth not his mouth.

Jesus was called "Lamb of God", for He was spotless (without sin), and totally obedient to the Father.

John 1:34-36

King James Version

34 And I saw,

and bare record that this is the Son of God.

35 Again the next day after John stood,

and two of his disciples;

36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked,

he saith

Behold the Lamb of God!

He was to take away the sin of the world.

John 1:29

King James Version

29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him,

and saith

Behold the Lamb of God,

which taketh away the sin of the world.

In the last days, the Lamb will finally be honored for that sacrifice.

Revelation 5:11-12

King James Version

11 And I beheld,

and I heard the voice of many angels

round about the throne and the beasts and the elders

and the number of them

was ten thousand times ten thousand,

and thousands of thousands;

12 Saying with a loud voice

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain

to receive power,

and riches,

and wisdom,

and strength,

and honour,

and glory,

and blessing.

And that old serpent will be overcome by the blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 12:9-11

King James Version

9 And the great dragon was cast out

that old serpent,

called the Devil,

and Satan,

which deceiveth the whole world:

he was cast out into the earth,

and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven

Now is come salvation,

 and strength, and the kingdom of our God,

and the power of his Christ:

for the accuser of our brethren is cast down,

which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb,

and by the word of their testimony;

and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Then the Lamb will reign in peace, forever!

Revelation 22:1-3

King James Version

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life,

clear as crystal,

proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it,

and on either side of the river,

was there the tree of life,

which bare twelve manner of fruits,

and yielded her fruit every month:

and the leaves of the tree were

for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse:

but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it;

and his servants shall serve him:

There will be no more sin.

Revelation 21:27

King James Version

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it

any thing that defileth,

neither whatsoever worketh abomination,

or maketh a lie

but they which are written

in the Lamb's book of life.

A new heaven, and a new earth, will come down from heaven, and suffering will end for God's faithful.

Revelation 21:1-4

King James Version

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth

for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;

and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city,

new Jerusalem,

coming down from God out of heaven,

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying

Behold,

the tabernacle of God is with men,

and he will dwell with them,

and they shall be his people

and God himself shall be with them,

and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death,

neither sorrow,

nor crying,

neither shall there be any more pain:

for the former things are passed away.
