WALKING in the SPIRIT

 

Galatians 5:24

King James Version

24 And they that are Christ's 

have crucified the flesh 

with the affections and lusts.

What does walking in the Spirit mean?

To understand things of the Spirit, you must become born again.

To become born again, you must surrender your will to the Lord.

You become a student of Spirit.

Then you will understand what apostle Paul means when He says you must walk in the Spirit:

Galatians 5:16-19

King James Version

16 This I say then, 

Walk in the Spirit, 

and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, 

and the Spirit against the flesh: 

and these are contrary the one to the other: 

so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, 

ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, 

which are these; 

Adultery, 

fornication, 

uncleanness, 

lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, 

witchcraft, 

hatred, 

variance, 

emulations, 

wrath, 

strife, 

seditions, 

heresies,

21 Envyings, 

murders, 

drunkenness, 

revellings, 

and such like: 

of the which I tell you before, 

as I have also told you in time past, 

that they which do such things 

shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Walking in the Spirit means we walk with God.

We follow His Son, Jesus, who is the Way.

John 14:6

King James Version

6 Jesus saith unto him, 

I am the way, 

the truth, 

and the life: 

no man cometh unto the Father, 

but by me.

We are guided by His Spirit alone.

We crucify the lusts of the flesh.

We experience the FRUIT of His Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23

King James Version

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, 

joy, 

peace, 

longsuffering, 

gentleness, 

goodness, 

faith,

23 Meekness, 

temperance: 

against such there is no law.

It we are to walk in the Spirit, let us have nothing to do with sin, strife, and jealousy.

Galatians 5:25-26

King James Version

25 If we live in the Spirit, 

let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, 

provoking one another, 

envying one another.

Walking in the Spirit means you surrender your will to God, for only God sees what you can never see.

You are in complete trust of the Lord.

Is it difficult?

Everything becomes clear, and easy, when your heart belongs to Jesus.

You will not struggle, nor rebel against God, anymore.

Jesus will give you all the help you need.

Just keep praying for guidance.

And watch what happens.

You will marvel at God's love, and power.

God becomes your life.

You live according to the laws of God, and not of man.

There will be peace, joy, discipline, focus, faith, clarity, and contentment.

You only act, when "endued with power from on high".

For, without Jesus, we can do nothing.

John 15:5

King James Version

5 I am the vine, 

ye are the branches: 

He that abideth in me, 

and I in him, 

the same bringeth forth much fruit: 

for without me ye can do nothing.

Walking in God's Spirit is definitely THE way to live, now, and ever.
