Psalm 16:11
King James Version
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
I am a student of the Holy Spirit of God.
It's how I come to know who the Lord Jesus is, what His commandments were, how He wanted us to be, how His life had been, what He came here for.
It's how I am able to write, sharing Scripture with you each day.
And today, Spirit led me to His very own qualities.
Some of which were:
SPIRIT is life.
John 6:63
King James Version
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit,
and they are life.
SPIRIT is liberty.
2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:
and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty.
SPIRIT is joy.
And many other things.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy,
peace,
longsuffering,
gentleness,
goodness,
faith,
23 Meekness,
temperance:
against such there is no law.
Those qualities I was led to, sounded familiar, so I looked deeper.
And found it to be on America's Declaration of Independence of 1776.
Tthat very declaration had the Creator in it:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident,
that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator
with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life,
Liberty
and the pursuit of Happiness."

Surely, the Spirit of God was in the hearts of those who drafted that declaration, for God attests to His influence on the hearts of men who acknowledge Him:
1 Corinthians 2:14

14 But the natural man
receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.
And now?
Well, my only wish, as a student of the Spirit, is that I grow into perfection, according to the will of God.
And that the world find sufficiency in God, for only God can love us so!
2 Corinthians 3:5-6

5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves
to think any thing as of ourselves;
but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers
of the new testament;
not of the letter,
but of the spirit:
for the letter killeth,
but the spirit giveth life.
